Copyright & DMCA Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

SaveJet respects the intellectual property rights of others. SaveJet does not host Instagram content — it helps users access publicly available media — but if you believe your copyrighted work has been made accessible in a way that infringes your rights, you can submit a notice and we will respond promptly.

To file a DMCA takedown, email [email protected] with the six required elements listed below (including identification of the work, the infringing URL, your contact details, and the two required statements). Emailing us directly is the fastest way to resolve an issue — we review valid notices and act within 1–2 business days. Note that SaveJet does not host content, so concerns about media on Instagram itself are usually best directed to Meta.

How SaveJet works — no hosting, no storage

SaveJet is a tool that helps a person retrieve publicly available media that already exists on Instagram. It does not host, store, cache, copy, index, or retain that media on its servers: a file is passed through transiently only at the moment of a user's request and is not kept afterward. The original media lives on Instagram/Meta's platform, so copyright concerns about the underlying content are usually best raised with Instagram/Meta directly. Where a valid notice concerns how our Service is used, we will still act on it promptly.

Public content only

SaveJet works only with content that is already public. It does not bypass, circumvent, or defeat any login, password, privacy setting, or other access control, and it does not provide access to private accounts or restricted media. Each user is solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to download and use any content and for complying with Instagram's Terms of Use and applicable law. SaveJet is intended for lawful purposes such as saving your own content, content you are licensed to use, or material covered by fair use.

Filing a takedown notice

To submit a copyright notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), send an email to [email protected] that includes all of the following:

Please send notices only for material you genuinely own or are authorised to represent, and target the specific URL at issue. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. We may decline incomplete, overbroad, or automated notices that do not identify specific allegedly infringing URLs, and may ask for clarification before acting.

What happens after you file

When we receive a valid notice, we review it and act promptly to disable or remove access to the identified material where it is within our control. We may forward the notice (including your contact details) to the relevant party, and may notify the affected user so they can submit a counter-notice if appropriate.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] that includes your signature, identification of the material and its location before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your contact information and consent to jurisdiction.

Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances, we will restrict or block access for users who are the subject of repeated copyright notices.

Trademark concerns

For trademark complaints (as opposed to copyright), email [email protected] with details of the mark, your rights, and the material at issue. "Instagram" and "Meta" are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.; SaveJet is not affiliated with them.

Designated copyright agent

Send all copyright notices and counter-notices to SaveJet's designated agent:

SaveJet — Copyright Agent
Email: [email protected]

We log valid notices and the action taken, and we honour verified requests quickly. Working with us directly is faster and more reliable than other channels, because we can remove or disable the specific item the same way every time.
